Pink isn't just a color to us.
It means belonging.
It means support in life’s toughest moments.
It means the confidence to grow, save, and dream bigger.
Recently, we asked our members to share what the Power of Pink means to them — and their stories moved us beyond words.
Generational Growth
For member Verretta, the Power of Pink is about more than the present. It’s about creating a future.
When thinking about her relationship with the credit union, Verretta said, “They greeted me and my family like their own. That’s something you don’t get at other banks.
They taught me financial information I never got from school or my parents. With that, I’ve been able to build generational wealth — and now I’m teaching my kids and grandkids to do the same.”
That’s why we’re here. To empower members with the knowledge and tools to grow wealth and pass it on. Banking should feel personal. Not transactional, not cold — but warm and welcoming. Because when you feel like you belong, your money feels safer too.
Support When It Matters Most
Life isn’t always easy. Member Paul can attest to that. While most people wouldn't think of their financial institution as a place they can confide in during a difficult season of life, Paul is an example of how City & County differs from other banking experiences.
When sharing his wife’s battle with cancer and the financial stress that followed, he said, “The manager came out and just said, ‘We got you. Don’t worry about that end of it.’”
That’s what the Power of Pink looks like: real support, from real people, when you need it most.
A Support System for Big Purchases
Whether it's a house, a car, or college, big purchases can be stressful — especially if you don't know the process.
For member Brittany, that meant having someone who could help her submit offers on houses in an incredibly competitive and challenging housing market.
A Place for Kids To Learn Finances
You’ll see the Power of Pink out in the community — at parades, local celebrations, and nights out in the neighborhood. The Power of Pink stands as a reminder that we’re more than a credit union. We’re part of the place you call home.
For Evan, along with his son Malachi, one of their favorite activities together is attending CCCU-sponsored events in their community. Hear how these events have helped Evan's children gain financial education.
